Another day, another walk, another fence.

Dimitrie Racovita Street is a quiet street with many beautiful old houses.

In this building, well protected by fence, is the Romanian Academy's Institute of Geography.

Casa din Dimitrie Racovita

Bucurestiul este un oras plin de contradictii, din punct de vedere arhitectonic. Gasesti case vechi in stil art nouveau, in stil traditional romanesc, case neutre sau blocuri comuniste. Printre toate acestea, am gasit aceasta casa, care nu se incadreaza nici unui stil arhitectonic. Proprietarul a vrut o casa unica si a reusit. Casa se afla pe strada Dimitrie Racovita.

I spent a weekend in a small village Draganesti Vlasca. We enjoyed nature and beautiful landscapes.

Old Fence

An old fence built of river rock with massive gate. And the gate is built of river rock also, but plastered.

Fence with magnolia

Spring comes shyly. A stroll through the elegant neighborhood Domenii from Bucharest is always a delight. 

First, I saw the fence. It is elegant and different than any other I've seen.

Then I saw magnolia that blooms.

Fences with curls

Spring came with rainy days. If the sun isn't on the sky we found the sun on the fences.

I found these two fences on a quiet street with old houses.

The fences were curved in the shape of a stylized sun. I think the neighbors were in love with this model. Fences are not identical but are similar.

Small cute ponies

Here is a place of leisure in a mountain area.

We stayed here to have a lunch and then we visited the surroundings.  Besides restaurant they have a green area for recreation. They have also a few ponies for the amusement of children. It was nice and relaxing.

I am a blonde girl and I like being caressed.

Smart Pigeons

A hidden place, between blocks, caught my attention. A large family of pigeons have built here a lot of "apartments" in the house of people.

A colorful fence protects children during play.

Fence with branches

This is a pathway over the little lake from the Ioanid Park. The bridge is over a tiny lake emptied during winter. The fence is built in the shape of branches.

Puppets on the fence

What is the fence? The fence is a structure like a wall built outdoors usually of wood or metal that separates two areas or prevents people or animals from entering or leaving. This is the definition from dictionary.
But, I think there is more definition for fence, or use.
Today I will show you another kind of use for a  fence . 
This handmade puppets are displayed on the fence for a better view. I like this fence!

Vila Constantin Campeanu

Vila Constantin Campeanu, de pe bulevardul Dacia, iti atrage atentia prin eleganta si simplitatea stilului arhitectonic. Conform informatiile de pe tablita aflata la intrare, cladirea a fost construita intre anii 1921 - 1924, in stilul ecletismului tarziu al secolului XX, ce imbina decoratii de factura clasicizata cu elemente post-Art Nouveau si Art Deco.

Old house, old fence

This is an old house from Husi area, built in 1844. Now it is exposed to the Village Museum in Bucharest.

The fence is made from hazel twigs wattle on locust tres poles, covered with straw.
